Our production experience includes training sign companies to automate their fabrication using SDS Automation metal bending equipment. Those companies include: Yesco, Allen Industries, Pattison Sign Group, Chandler Signs, Direct Sign Wholesale, AGI, Colite, Everbrite and Persona.
We can produce trimless channel letters with narrow strokes- as small as 1/2" and as little as 4" tall. 3/4" stroke is minimum recommended.
We use an SDS Automation channel letter bender for our channel letter bending. The bender is a powerful sign making tool in the hands of a skilled and experienced operator. SDS benders are capable of the precision and accuracy needed to bend metal perfectly flush to the returns of trimless and reverse channel letter styles.
Small narrow script font trimless channel letters.
Routing acrylic for a trimless channel letters requires more attention to detail. The CNC table needs to be perfectly flat and there is very little room for error. Although it slows down production, a router bit of 1/8 inch is used to allow for more detail on the inside corners of letters and logos. High quality cast acrylic with maximum diffusive properties is used. Careful file preparation and a little math insures that there is perfect match between the face and return. We have a custom built jig for our cnc router that allows very small details to be cut out with precision.
There are techniques that make forming the metal returns a lot easier than hand brakes and steel tubes. Utilizing automated equipment capable of precision bending is a key element in fabricating premium products.
